To wife [not named]; all estate, real and personal, until her re-marriage or death.
To son, John Massey; 100 acres of woodland, next to Henry Clark's line, part of tract called Partnership.
Note.  Tract Partnership was patented 1684 by Daniel Toas; was then inherited by his daughter Sarah Toas.  Sarah Toas married Peter Massey, and Partnership was inherited by their son, Daniel Massey.
To son, John Massey; part of three tracts bought of David Witherspoon and Jacob Linegas called, Angel's Lot, Spring Garden and Angel's Rest; if he die intestate, lands to go to his two daughters; Martha and Temperance Massey.
To daughter, Sarah Parsons; One acre, where she now lives, for her lifetime.
To daughter, Araminta Little; Two acres, laid out in  a square, where Eli Bostock now lives; also one Negro girl, Phillis.
To son-in-law, Ebenezer Massey; All land I claim eastward of Hynson's lines.
To ten grand-daughters; One acre each of ten acres South of the Chapple [sic] Road, and West of Chester Road: Martha and Temperance Massey, daughters of son, John Massey.  Martha Parsons, daughter of daughter, Sarah Parsons.
Note.  Sarah Massey, m. 1st., _______ Parsons; and, 2nd., _______ Rochester.
Ann, Rebecca, and Martha Massey, daughters of son, Joseph Massey; all "under age 16." Anne and Sarah Massey, daughters of daughter Milky [Milcah] Massey. Mary, daughter of daughter, Araminta Little.
Henrietta, daughter of son. Writson Massey.
To four grandsons;- " ... all the lands that I hold on the west side of Chester Road, to be equally divided between them, which I desire may be done by three honest farmers soon after my decease; after a division as aforesaid my desire is that the profits arising from each one's part (John Massey excepted) be applied toward the education and maintenance of my grand daughters Ann, Rebecca and Martha until they come to the age of 16 ..."
Note.  Says Lou Hough:- "Since this one paragraph appears to apply only to those children of Daniels's son Joseph; and since the grandson John, already named in the Codicil as being a minor, it must be assumed that Daniel Toas, Stephen and Joseph were also his sons, and were directed to apply the profits from their inheritance to the three girls named by Daniel as being daughters of Joseph."  Daniel Toas Massey; Stephen Massey; Joseph Massey; John Massey.
To grandson, Daniel Rochester [Rochester]; one acre, after death of Sarah Parsons.
Note.  This was a son of Sarah Parsons by an earlier marriage.
To grandson, Daniel Massey, son of Ebenezer and Milky Massey:-" ... my part of a tract of land called, London Bridge renewed, together with part of two tracts of land which I bought of Thomas Gilpin called, Halls Harbor and Bridgetown Commons ... and my desire is that my son Ebenezer and Milky Massey his wife take possession of the afsd. tracts soon after my decease for and in behalf of my grandson Daniel, and to apply the profits arising therefrom toward educating him."
Note.  Quoting Lou Hough:-  "It is apparent ... that there were two grandsons named Daniel:- Daniel Toas Massey s/o of Joseph; and Daniel Massey s/o Ebenezer and Milky.  Daniel Toas Massey had reached his majority; Daniel Massey had not.  Daniel Toas Massey had to provide for the education of Rebecca, Ann and Martha Massey; while Daniel Massey had to be educated himself."
Executor:  Wife [not named]; son, John Massey; son-in-law, Ebin [Ebenezer] Massey.
Witness: Sarah Bostick, Eli Bostick, Ja. Hynson.
