Drill-Chuck Patents Used by Millers Falls Eggbeater Drills

US Patent No. 194,109 was granted to Henry L. Pratt on August 14, 1877 and was used on the ealiest signed Millers Falls chucks & drills, such as Type L0 of the No.2 model or in a smaller size on the Type 1 of the No.1 model.

US Patent No. 568,539 was granted to William H. McCoy on September 29, 1896 and was used on the first Millers Falls No.2 types that sported side handles, such as the Type K5, and the very early Type 4B of the Millers Falls No.1,3,5 series.

US Patent No. 660,121 was issued to William J. Parsons on October 23, 1900 and was first applied to the Type G version of the Millers Falls No. 2 eggbeater drill series and to the No.1,3,5 series sometime before the Star logo appeared on their cranks.  The first one I found with this chuck design is the Type 11, by which time this patent had expired.
