Millers Falls No.1 eggbeater drill;
Type 1
One of the first types shown in catalogs.
This one came with a set of diamond drilling points like the two
found unused in the hollow handle.
The hollow rosewood handle has a lignum vitae cap.
Inside there are two original diamond points.
The diamond points are ground with symmetrical cutting edges that have substantial clearance.
The pin on which the crank handle rotates has been pressed into the gear and then peened over the small washer so as to retain the rosewood handle.
The no-springs, two-jaw chuck has just enough capacity to hold the drilling points shown above.
