The town of Fauquier Court House was first settled in 1759, then incorporated in 1810, when 
its name was changed to Warrenton.  Among the trustees at incorporation were Edward Digges, 
Jr., John A.W. Smith, George B. Pickett, George Pickett, Jr., and Daniel Withers, whose names
appear here and there in the court records and land transactions in Excursus Withers.
