Edwin Harrington Taper Attachment, pages 16 & 17
TAPER ATTACHMENT.

Always gives entire satisfaction.
Does not interfere with any of the regular uses of the lathe for screw-cutting or turning.
It is not necessary to throw lathe centres out of line. Different lengths of work do not affect the taper; no trial cuts are necessary, taper being determined by graduated endices, one for degrees, the other for sixteenths per foot. May be used for boring or turning; is easily disconnected for straight work.
