Has straight column well braced, and adjustable sliding head; will drill and bore up to 8 inches diameter; large base plate, 66½ x 24½ inches; adjustable table; automatic geared feed, 3 changes. Steel spindle is counter-balanced and has quick return; may be operated by either hand or power feed; bored to suit Morse Standard Twist Drill Taper; has vertical traverse of 14 inches; greatest distance spindle to base plate, 51½ inches; shortest distance spindle to base plate, 25 inches; longest distance spindle to table, 36 inches; shortest distance spindle to table, 6½ inches; adjustment of sliding head, 15 inches. Table, 30 inches diameter, is carefully fitted and turns in bracket arm, which raises and lowers 16 inches by worm gear or worm and swings on column. Sliding-head and spindle have each independent balance weights; four section driving cone, back geared, giving 8 changes of speed to spindle; counter-cone ; driving pullies, 14 x 3½, to run 200 turns per minute, on base of machine, giving a long belt between cones.
