Type C

The Type C No.2 is a puzzle, because this example has two pinions, yet the main and crank handles appear still to be rosewood. The crank logo locates Millers Falls in Greenfield, the rear spindle bearing housing extends to the main gear's axle bearing housing, a feature first seen in the Type D, and the crank handle is enlarged, just like the Type D. The two-pinion and one-pinion versions of the No.2 may therefore have been produced concurrently for a time. The spindle nose has grown to its "final" size in the Type C.
