Piano tuner's "hammer," adjustable length.

This fine tool has a rosewood handle that is adjustable in length. The collet and ferrule are nickle silver; the latter has the partial imprints: "Hale's ..." and what might be "... Hammacher ..." The eight-sided socket is imprinted with the size in unknown units: "2." Shown with the handle fully extended. Some of the plating is gone from the socket; the "hammer" end is not battered.
