Condition: Straight and sharp, with minor pitting on the side opposite the etch.   There is a small, unobtrusive dent mear the tip that is visible in both blade images.

The applewood handle has a tiny crack at one corner of the lower point and a minor split along the blade slot that is visible inside the thumbhole. The  handle retains most of its original finish as well as a little aluminum spray paint but would benefit from a thorough cleaning.

The pre-1928 etch reads about as well as it shows in the image; the patent date is June 23rd, 1874.
