This is your standard generic brace, marked only Made in USA. The hardwood handles
retain about half their finish. There was never any nickel plating to
peel. The brace is mechanically excellent and will work fine with
auger bits that still have their tapered square shanks. There are
a few wrench marks on the chuck shell, but it is so thick and massive
that no functional harm was done.
I have a large number of similar braces which I will cheerfully pass
along at the same price ...
Imagine a big rack of these, each with a different sized auger bit or
screwdriver bit. Think of all the bit-changing that you could
eliminate at low cost.
