end of March, I went to the Wilmington deposit with Sydne [Holmes

identified - GL,Jr.] Later on, we went to the Thornton quarry
[near Chicago] which is good for Niagara [limestone] fossils.

with Eugene S. Richardson, Jr. on northeast part of Pig Pen

3]. He found a winged insect.

Richardson on three-day trip to Wilmington, Illinois. On May
27th, left [the Field] Museum at 10:00AM. Afternoon on northwest
side of Goldblatt (Pig Pen) [Locality

4]. Rain at night. On May 28th, [we went to]
southeast side of Goldblatt [Locality
No.
3] then near Santa Fe tracks [Locality
No.
31] from 7:00PM to 8:30PM. May 29th, [we went to]
southeast side of Goldblatt [Locality
No.
4]. Left at 1:30PM, arrived at [Field] Museum at
3:30PM. Three days of cool, fine weather.

hot.

by [Mr.] Jackson. Fine weather. Elmer Riggs came here
September 4th and 5th.

fossils. The [John] McClucki's guided us to Bensons near the
Mazon Creek [fossil] beds. After lunch, we collected about four
hours near the Santa Fe tracks on the north side [probably Locality No.
